Two Mounting Configurations
Conventional Street Mount
The tire bead mounts inside the outer rim like a standard wheel. The beadlock ring and hardware may be removed or retained for appearance. In this configuration, the wheel is intended for legal highway use. The 20-inch configuration can accept the factory 20-inch tire; confirm the correct tire specification for the selected wheel size before ordering.
Off-Road Beadlock Mount
The tire bead mounts outside the rim and is secured by the functional beadlock ring. This allows very low tire pressures—as low as 5 psi in the manufacturer’s description—to increase the contact patch for rock crawling and other demanding off-road conditions.
Important Use and Legal Disclaimer
The beadlock configuration is not street legal according to NHTSA regulations. The street-legal configuration requires the tire bead to be mounted inside the wheel’s outer rim. Unplugged Performance is not responsible for damage, injury, or legal consequences caused by using the wheels outside their intended purpose. Customers assume all liability and risk when using the non-street-legal beadlock configuration.
