Team 1EV RMaxx steel running boards and integrated rock sliders add a full-length step to the Rivian R1T, with an optional welded rock-slider structure for drivers who need underbody protection. This R1T listing supports Gen 1 and Gen 2 vehicles, two removable tread-plate designs, and store-pickup or shipping configurations.
Choose your configuration
- RMaxx Running Boards: full-length steps rated for a 500 lb load; approximately 76 lb per complete pair with hardware
- Running Boards with Integrated Rock Slider Armor: the step and heavy-wall slider are welded into one structural assembly; approximately 135 lb per complete pair with hardware
- Tread plates: Triple Square or Triple Slot; plates bolt on and can be replaced
- Vehicle generation: select Gen 1 or Gen 2
The running-board-only package cannot later be converted into the welded rock-slider version; they are different assemblies.
Construction and fitment
- Bolt-on installation at factory Rivian mounting points with no drilling or permanent frame modification
- CNC-bent 1.75-inch OD alloy-steel tubing on the running-board assembly
- Laser-cut welded brackets and steel tread plates
- Heavy-wall 2-inch square tubing and direct-to-frame triangulation on the rock-slider version
- Textured black powder coat with OEM-grade zinc coating for corrosion protection
- Compatible with Rivian Reinforced Underbody Shield (RUS)

The running boards do not reduce ground clearance. The slider’s bottom edge sits approximately one inch below the Rivian underbody so the slider can meet an obstacle before the vehicle belly. The slider version can be used as a jacking point; do not jack directly on the running-board-only version.
Installation notes
The outer underside plastic covers must be removed for installation. With running boards, the covers may be left off or trimmed and reinstalled. They are not reused with the slider package. Installation hardware, a TP55 bit, and a T20 bit are included.
