Fine-tune the air-suspension ride height of a P2-generation 2021+ Tesla Model S or Model X Long Range or Plaid with the Mountain Pass Performance height-adjustment kit. Interchangeable laser-cut shims provide robust, repeatable changes without relying on a turnbuckle-style adjuster.

Adjustment range
- Approximate front range: -45 mm to +40 mm
- Approximate rear range: -45 mm to +40 mm
MPP does not recommend using the full adjustment range. Small changes are easier to manage safely; extreme settings can damage suspension or drivetrain components.
Possible uses
- Lower or level the vehicle beyond the factory Low setting
- Add rake to compensate for trailer tongue weight
- Raise the available ride-height modes for rough-road or off-road clearance
- Return precisely to a previous setting by reinstalling the same shim combination
How it works
The assemblies alter the height-sensor position, causing the air suspension to settle at a different physical height while retaining the vehicle’s selectable suspension modes. The shim system trades infinitely fine adjustment for durable, repeatable steps; differences of roughly 2 mm are generally within the air suspension’s normal control window.

Installation
An experienced technician can complete installation in approximately one hour. The work can be performed on a lift or on the ground. Installation requires a heat gun or hair dryer and a suitable tool to carefully release the height-sensor link from its ball; plastic trim tools are recommended.
Important safety disclaimer
This kit permits adjustment outside Tesla’s intended ride-height range. Extreme lowering can increase bump-stop and suspension wear and reduce underbody and battery clearance. Raising or lowering can affect alignment, tire clearance, suspension travel, towing behavior, handling, and driver-assistance calibration. Use conservative settings, verify clearance and alignment after adjustment, and operate at your own risk.
