Dual-rate linear lowering springs for compatible Tesla Model Y RWD and AWD vehicles. Unplugged Performance combines a softer primary linear rate for everyday ride comfort with a firmer secondary rate that supports the vehicle during cornering.
Select the correct drivetrain and height
- AWD: Mild, Moderate, or Low
- RWD: Mild or Moderate
Approximate ride-height changes
- Mild: approximately 1 inch on non-Performance Model Y; approximately 0.25 inch on Model Y Performance
- Moderate: approximately 1.5 inches on non-Performance trims; approximately 0.75 inch on Model Y Performance
- Low: approximately 2 inches on non-Performance AWD Model Y; approximately 1.75 inches on Model Y Performance
Actual ride height varies with trim, battery, vehicle weight, damper condition, and spring settling. Select only an option offered for the vehicle’s drivetrain.
Dual-rate linear design
- Primary rate is approximately 15–30% softer around town than a comparable single-rate performance spring
- Secondary rate is typically approximately 30% firmer and engages under greater cornering load
- Designed to combine everyday compliance with reduced body roll and more predictable handling
- Developed with Hyperco and designed, engineered, and produced in the USA
Aerodynamic context
Unplugged Performance’s Model 3 CFD study reported an 8.1% reduction in total vehicle drag and a 0.019 reduction in drag coefficient at a 1.5-inch lower ride height. That test was performed on a Model 3, not a Model Y; the manufacturer’s current Model Y description does not provide completed Model Y-specific CFD results.
Installation
Professional installation and a four-wheel alignment are required. Check tire clearance and suspension travel at the selected height.
