MPP Solid Front Lower Control Arm Bearings for Tesla Model 3 and Model Y

About 2 months ago, I installed the MPP FLCA bearings and ZEV polyurethane compliance arm bushings. My OEM bushings were starting to tear around 45,000 miles and I wanted to try repairing the control arms instead of replacing them outright. Boy am I glad I did - these parts have dramatically changed the steering feel of the car, and there is absolutely no increase in NVH. Before, the car felt lethargic and uncertain in corners; now, it feels sharp and confident. The parts are built extremely well and feel very high quality. The subframe collars included with the bearing also make me feel much better about the FLCA bolts staying put, as I found one starting to back out when I did the replacement… I will never own a Model 3 without these parts again, they’re a day 1 replacement for me at this point.

Install was easy with a cheap 12-ton press and the optional bearing press tools. I used 72 mm ID and 68 mm OD press dies for the compliance arm bushings, which are nominal 70 mm diameter. It was a little scary at first never having done this sort of work, but just make sure everything is lined up well and send it, it’ll work out.

If you’re considering these, just do it. Even if you have to take it to a shop to have the work done, it’s so worth it.

My stock bushings were entirely torn out at 51,000 miles, and now I never have to worry about replacing bushings again.

So happy I bought this set for my 23’ Model Y performance! Steering is no longer numb. With the new bearings, steering is much more precise and direct and you can actually feel the road thru the wheel. Makes the car more sporty and fun to drive the least. Happy I upgraded!

These are a complete game changer for the steering feel of the car. It is so much more precise with a near nil change in NVH. Had I known the difference would be this dramatic, I would have done it on the first day of ownership.
