Rishie’s Highland Performance

Behind the Build

This is my second Model 3 Performance, following a 2021 car that gave me a good baseline for what I wanted to change the second time around.

The biggest advantage of the 2025 Highland Performance is the factory active damping system. It gave me the flexibility to build the car around the original dampers rather than replacing everything, which kept the project considerably more affordable.

The suspension setup is intentionally simple: an MPP coilover conversion kit, MPP front upper control arms, and MPP rear camber arms. That was enough to get the stance where I wanted it while preserving an impressive level of ride quality. The factory dampers work far better with this combination than I expected.

For the wheels, I chose the newly released ASPIRA AF-M in Gloss Gold, using the maximum street-oriented 19x10.5 fitment. Achieving that width required a little additional negative camber, so some increased inner-tire wear is an expected tradeoff, but visually and dynamically the setup delivers exactly the aggressive street fitment I was after.
