Which Tesla Rear Camber Arms Should You Buy?

There is no single rear camber arm that is best for every Tesla. The correct choice depends first on the vehicle, then on ride height, alignment goals, construction, adjustment method and how the car is used. A daily-driven Model Y, a lowered Model 3 and a Model S Plaid do not necessarily need the same solution.

Why install adjustable rear camber arms?

Tesla provides limited factory rear camber adjustment on many applications. Lowering the vehicle generally increases negative camber, and some cars cannot be brought back to the desired street setting with factory components alone. An adjustable arm gives the alignment technician additional range.

That does not mean every vehicle with inside tire wear automatically needs camber arms. Toe, worn or compliant bushings and the condition of the tires should be checked first. The goal is to correct the entire alignment, not a single number.

MPP: Model 3 and Model Y focus

The MPP Rear Camber Arm is a strong option for compatible Model 3 and Model Y applications. It is especially relevant for lowered cars, performance alignments and owners building a coordinated rear suspension package.   • Is the available adjustment range appropriate for the ride height?
  • Can adjustment be performed cleanly on the alignment rack?
  • Does the design use rubber, polyurethane or a spherical joint?
  • Are replacement parts available?
  • Will the arm work with the remaining factory or aftermarket links?
  • Is the car primarily a street car, an autocross car or a dedicated track build?

Our recommendation

Choose the arm that fits the car and the alignment objective, then have it installed and aligned by someone familiar with Tesla suspension. For many Model 3/Y street vehicles, the MPP option is an excellent starting point. For Model S/X applications, the vehicle-specific N2itive products deserve consideration. The final alignment and the stability of the other suspension joints matter just as much as the logo on the arm.
