Rivian R2 18-Inch Wheel and 32-Inch All-Terrain Fitment Guide
Moving the Rivian R2 to an 18-inch wheel creates room for a taller tire sidewall and a more purposeful all-terrain setup. The challenge is fitting the brake package, maintaining adequate wheel load capacity and selecting an offset and tire combination that clears the body and suspension through real driving—not just while parked.
What we tested
ZEVcentric installed 18-inch Aspira forged wheels with a 32-inch, 275-width all-terrain setup on the Rivian R2. After the initial installation and clearance inspection, we road-tested the maximum fitment to check for rubbing in actual use.
Our test vehicle completed the demonstrated road test without rubbing. That result applies to the wheel, tire, alignment and vehicle configuration shown. Tire models with the same size marking can have different measured widths, shoulder shapes and diameters, so results should not be generalized to every 275-width tire.

Wheel strength and load rating
The R2 is heavier than many conventional compact crossovers, so load capacity must be treated as an engineering requirement. The Aspira AF-10 R2 wheels are specified at a 950 kg load rating per wheel. They are fully forged and were developed specifically around the R2 application rather than adapted from a passenger-car wheel.

What determines whether a tire rubs?
- Actual tire section width and shoulder shape
- Mounted tire diameter
- Wheel width and offset
- Alignment settings
- Vehicle load
- Steering angle
- Suspension compression
- Production tolerances
A fitment that clears during a straight-line drive may still contact at full steering lock or during maximum suspension compression. Our development process includes static clearance inspection and road evaluation, but customers choosing a different tire should have that exact combination reviewed.

For owners who want the most aggressive tested package, use the complete wheel and tire specification demonstrated by ZEVcentric. If you prefer a different tire model or size, confirm its published measurements and allow adequate clearance rather than relying only on the sidewall label.
