Tein EnduraPro Plus Adjustable Shocks Model Y (AWD) VSGP4-B1DS2

Was debating whether to trade in and eat the loss on my MYLR 2020 which had a really stiff suspension. I would cringe before every bump in the road. Rishie, the guy who owns ZevCentric, saved me. I'm a new tesla owner and didn't know which parts to get. He gave me a list of parts which i ordered and sent the instructions for the install to a local guy in my area who he trusted. Car drives smoothly and feels great now! Parts cost was reasonable ~1k USD and communication was great. 10/10 would do again.

I am about 6k miles in after the install and the difference in ride quality is night and day. Highly recommended for those who got the early hard suspension with their Model Ys.   Rishie, from zevcentric did an amazing job in answering a bunch of newb questions from me online regarding Tien products and their effects for my specific model of car ( 2022 Tesla MYLR )

I installed this suspension for my 2023 Tesla model Y because the factory suspension was too stiff and the ride quality wasn’t good. I trusted this suspension based on the YouTube channel and the comments in here. The problem with these shocks is that when you have a soft adjustment ( front 10 rear 10) car is very unstable and when you hit a pot hole the whole car moves . And when you adjust it to a more stiff setting it becomes very close to what the factory suspension is . Overall I believe that the model Y is very heavy and even changing the suspension is NOT going to give you a comfortable ride . I have been playing with different settings but unfortunately none of them is really effective.

I started off with a 2022 Model Y Performance with an embarrassing pre-comfort suspension that started arriving on 2023 models. I was looking to keep the same ride height so I opted to keep the stock factory springs and pair them with these shocks. Combined with a few other suspension mods (camber arms and front and rear swaybars), the ride quality is a night and day difference and I'm very happy. The ride is far more compliant, predictable, and overall considerably more comfortable. The comfort is arguably better than what I've felt in a lot of newer factory non-performance cars. The camber arms I opted to include to help with alignment issues that I'd experienced from the factory. I went with Rishie's recommendation and opted for a setting of 8 in the front and 10 in the rear. After a week of driving on it, I think this is the sweet spot for dealing with the California Bay Area's horrible roads.

You really can't go wrong with Tein on your Tesla.

I looked at so many YouTube videos and ever since I got my model Y in 2020 it’s been a headache. The ride was so exaggerated with every little bump. I got a local auto customization shop in NJ to do the installation for me and got a wheel alignment the next day after. But even without the alignment the ride quality was drastic. I left the front at the softest setting. And the rear at 3 settings lower than the stiffest. I will be adjusting it down to 2 more settings lower for the rear because it’s very close to being the perfect quality for the ride I’m expecting. The camber arms in my opinion weren’t really necessary because my car never had “wobble” issues. But I got it anyways because why not? Lol. But to conclude, my newborn child will have nothing to worry now that his dad has upgraded the suspension to a point where I don’t have to worry about my baby’s body bumping and moving all over the place. Highly recommended product. I just wish there was a YouTube tutorial with how to install it step by step.

Got my MY in Sep. 2022 and month after month the extremely stiff suspension started to bother more and more. Went to Tesla customer center, they were not helpful at all, reciting the "mantra" Tesla is a heavy car it must have a stiff suspension. OK, maybe a young fellow who enjoys the racing "feel" of Tesla...but I'm an old fellow and I expect comfort for the price I paid for it.
So, googling and youtube'ing (is that a word?) I find zevcentric and Rishie. Clear and well done videos on youTube and I get convinced that a set of Tein shock absorbers is the most effective solution for the defective (I have to call them that, though Tesla claims they are not) Tesla installed shock absorbers. Next step was to find someone willing to replace, and surprisingly nobody wanted to work on Tesla...Again Rishie came to rescue, suggested a shop that does work on Tesla. Ordered from zevcentric the set of 4 Tein, arrived, and had them replaced. Significantly better ride, smother and less jarring. Rishie helped a lot by suggesting the setting for the damping AND sending me a file with the Tesla torque specs for the suspension. Now, that is customer service above and beyond.
Super happy with the experience, I was almost ready to sell my MY, now I'm again a happy Tesla owner.
